Kate as with all things, your "imaginary" life is not like the real thing. But don't let that get in the way and make you feel like you're life is "less". Being pregnant and being a mother are some of the hardest and most rewarding things you will ever experience. But it's not like a movie, don't expect it to be. You'll have so much more fun if you just let it BE.
Where do you think all of us older ladies got those outragious stories about our lives as mothers. Laugh.

Kate,
The thing that will happen, and probably will be the best thing for you everrr, is that you will be forced to cut back on the outside demands. The result will be less outside pressure, making room for the inside pressure (in more ways than one). There really won't be a choice here, except how to adapt to the necessary shift in priorities.

And no matter what you imagine, no matter what people tell you,(and we love to tell you plenty), the situation is going to be unique, and it is going to happen in spite of your best efforts. This restructure of your life is going to take over for a lonnnnng time. There is no fighting it. So this is a Zen lesson, life preparing you for letting go of control. It sounds like for a single woman, your life is a tad out of balance for your comfort. As a pregnant woman, you know what you need and you could allow yourself to enjoy it. You could say NO to some opportunities, or responsibilities. You will find your way. It is getting you prepared for life with a child outside of your body. I hope you will find ways to make more time to enjoy that glow you got on. It is a rare opportunity, so make it yours.
